Percussion
Larry Fratangelo is a percussionist who has carved a niche for himself as a valuable session musician and bandleader. His name appears on gold, platinum and Grammy award-winning recordings, and he’s recorded and toured with some of the top recording artists in the world today, including Funkadelic, Parliament, Thelonious Monk, Aretha Franklin, George Benson, Anita Baker, Was Not Was, and many other notable artists.
In the early 2000s, he performed with the Drum Devils on “Live at the Zoo” and Taming the Russian Dragon. He later formed an all-percussionist, Detroit-based band called One Nation (Under a Groove).
Larry has performed at the White House and for the British House of Parliament, as well as at the Grammy Awards, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies, on the David Letterman Show and on Saturday Night Live with the Boston Pops.
Larry is a graduate of Michigan State University. He has produced several world music projects under his record label, BAP Records.
